wandering off the beaten paths in the cameron highlands - malaysia's largest tea growing region - documenting the lives of tea harvesters. most of them migrant workers originally from sri lanka, nepal, india working for as little as 35myr/day something like $8/day. after the bags were filled with tea leaves - 50kg worth - it was manually lifted and carried down steep, muddy paths to a loading zone. then it was all moved to a processing factory. suddenly it started raining - making their already difficult task - seemingly impossible, but they pressed on. amongst all the hardship - there were still moments of joy to be found after a long day of work
